AdsPower’s July Updates: Chrome 150, Firefox 150, and Password Protection

In July, AdsPower moved to Chrome 149 and 150, added Firefox 150 with Linux fingerprints, introduced identity verification for password changes, and rebuilt its proxy packages.

In July, AdsPower updated the Chrome engine twice. On July 10, the changelog listed Chrome 149 (it was announced on Telegram as early as June 25) and Firefox 150. Firefox profiles can now use Linux as the operating system. On July 28, the Russian changelog listed Chrome 150 for Windows, macOS, and Linux; the English entry is dated July 29.

On July 21, AdsPower changed its password change policy. Before setting or changing a password, you must verify your identity through an authenticator app, a linked phone number, or email. After the change, you receive an email and an in-client notification. The company says this protects against unauthorized password changes.

On July 14, AdsPower revamped its rotating proxy packages: six options ranging from 1 to 2000 GB, with larger packages offering bigger discounts. AdsPower gives different discount figures: up to 70% in the changelog and up to 50% in its July blog roundup. You can pay in US dollars, Brazilian reals, Polish zloty, and Vietnamese dong. Existing orders are not affected. A new SXORGauto proxy type is available for dynamic SX.ORG proxies.

If a profile crashes on startup, the new “Browser Compatibility Mode” has been available since August 4 (Settings → Local Settings → Others). It is enabled for all profiles on the computer at once.

What to do: Update the client. On Linux, you need to do this manually: the Linux client does not update automatically, and since July 21, clicking the update button opens a download link.
