FlashID Features

FlashID has opened its Local API and switched to Chrome 148

As of June 10, FlashID profiles and browsers can be managed via a local API. Quick profile creation and copying were added on June 15 and 16.

On June 10, 2026, FlashID opened access to its API in build v0.0.54 (Build 20260610). The API had not been mentioned in the changelog before.

The API is local: it runs on the computer where the client is launched at 127.0.0.1:58931 and cannot be accessed over the network. It is disabled by default and can be enabled in the client settings (Settings → Local API). All requests except service status checks must include a key in the X-API-Key header. The client generates the key in Settings → API Access.

The API can be used to create, edit, and delete profiles; generate fingerprints; manage proxies, folders, and the trash; and open and close browsers. The profile launch method returns a connection URL for Puppeteer or Playwright and a host:port pair for Selenium. The documentation currently lists 38 methods, some of which were added over the summer.

In the same build, FlashBrowser was updated to Chrome 148. Two more builds were released on June 15 and 16: one introduced profile creation in a few clicks with ready-made recommended settings, and the other added one-click profile copying along with fingerprint settings.
