Incogniton 5.0.1.0 was released on September 10, 2026. Chrome 152 became the default browser version for new profiles. Existing profiles remain on their current version. You can change it via Edit Browser Version or update multiple profiles at once using Update to latest browser version in the bulk menu. The previous browser engine update, to Chrome 149, was released on June 23. No newer browser engine versions had appeared in the changelog as of October 9.
Browser updates are now safer. If installation or an update fails, the previous version is no longer damaged: the program either replaces the browser completely or leaves it untouched. If an update cannot be installed, it explains why, for example, because the browser is still running or App Management permission is not enabled on macOS. A browser that launches and immediately closes is now treated as a failed launch rather than marked as “Launched.”
The Cas assistant keeps notes on how you work and remembers them between conversations. You can see what it has remembered by the brain icon in the chat. You can delete anything unnecessary and disable memory in Settings → Preferences. Cas can also restore a profile from a cloud restore point or local backup and reset a profile that keeps crashing. Before doing so, it shows what it is going to do and waits for confirmation. The synchronizer now lets you choose a primary profile.
What to do: Move your work profiles to Chrome 152 using the bulk menu. If you do not want the assistant to store notes about your work, disable Cas memory.
