Anty updates for October: Chromium 155 and 156, refined AudioContext noise

In October 2026, the Anty browser that powers Dolphin {anty} profiles switched to two new major browser engine versions.

On October 12, the company announced in its weekly roundup that it had upgraded to Chromium 155 (155.0.8059.40 for Windows and macOS, 155.0.8059.39 for Linux). The post didn’t mention the Anty version number.

On October 26, Anty 1-5-6 shipped with Chromium 156: 156.0.8078.48 for Windows and macOS, and 156.0.8078.47 for Linux.

The main change in 1-5-6 is “Noise” mode for AudioContext. Websites can identify a device by how the browser processes audio. The company says the noise now affects more stages of audio processing and works in real-time checks. Each profile gets its own audio fingerprint, even on the same computer. It stays the same after a restart, and repeat checks return the same result. Dolphin says the noise is inaudible.

Weekly fixes shipped between browser engine releases. On October 15, the team fixed tabs disappearing after headless scenarios and API use, as well as the DatadirDamaged error when launching a profile. On October 22, they fixed Google sign-outs after restarting a profile, which caused Google to ask users to “Verify it's you” again, and restored the confirmation email that new users weren’t receiving when they registered.

Earlier, on September 29, Anty 1-5-4 shipped with Chromium 154.
