On September 24, 2026, a week after version 2.10.15 with engine 151, ixBrowser 2.10.18 was released. A “Block Video” toggle appeared in the profile’s Preference Settings. Image and audio blocking were already available, and since June, users have been able to set a size threshold for images. In the Local API, video blocking is enabled with the preference_config.
The remaining changes concern the Passkey manager, which was introduced in version 2.9.26 in August. The program now checks whether the profile’s browser engine supports Passkey and whether the manager is enabled in Preference Settings, and displays an explanation if either condition is not met. A confirmation dialog now appears before saving a passkey. The dialogs have been brought into a consistent style, and other entry points to the manager have been removed.
What to do: If passkeys are not being saved, check the profile’s browser engine: according to the API documentation, the Passkey module works on engine 148 and newer, while the latest ixBrowser engine is currently 151. Video blocking is useful when the proxy is billed by traffic volume. On websites where video is required for functionality or verification, it is best left disabled.
