ixBrowser 2.9.19–2.9.20: Cookie Recovery and Engine 148 Fixes

Two versions were released in July: 2.9.19 fixes startup on engine 148 and engine selection via the API, while 2.9.20 adds cookie recovery.

In July 2026, ixBrowser released two minor versions after the 2.9.18 update, which moved the browser to browser engine 148 on June 25.

  1. July 9. Version 2.9.19 was released. It fixes an issue that prevented the browser interface from appearing on some devices when launching a profile on engine 148. Profiles opened through the API now automatically use the latest available installed engine; previously, they did not. The default base-font selection logic for different operating systems was also updated, and proxies now display an icon and maintenance notices during technical work.

  2. July 15. Version 2.9.20 was released. It adds a cookie recovery feature (Cookie repair). The changelog does not explain how it works, and there was still no dedicated article in the help center as of October 9. The update also fixes an issue when working across multiple computers: after regenerating a fingerprint (re-random fingerprint), opening the profile on another device would leave the old cache in place.

Who it affects: Primarily users who have already switched to engine 148 or launch profiles through the API. Teams that open the same profiles on different machines will also benefit from the cache fix. Update the client to 2.9.20 or later.
