RoxyBrowser engine updates for August: Chromium 151 and 152

In engine 151, WebGL stopped exposing the driver version, and mobile emulation anomalies on Pixelscan were fixed. Engine 152 introduced 327 security fixes.

In August 2026, RoxyBrowser updated its RoxyChrome engine twice: to Chromium 151 on August 18 and Chromium 152 on August 31.

The first update matters more for fingerprinting. Engine 151 brings WebGL output closer to standard Chrome: it no longer includes the GPU driver version suffix. It also fixes anomalies that pixelscan.net/fingerprint-check detected when mobile device emulation was enabled. The company does not specify which anomalies the checker found. The remaining changes come from Chromium itself: mouse wheel scroll inertia, recognition of Simplified and Traditional Chinese, a filter for repeated navigations, and faster WebRTC data channel setup.

For engine 152, the company highlights support detection for the CENC and CBCS protected video formats (fewer black screens when playing DRM-protected video), endpoint allowlisting, and 327 security fixes from Chromium 152 Stable. Both engine release notes mention support for macOS 13 and later, while the website's system requirements still list macOS 10.12. The company does not explain what will happen to the engines on older versions of macOS.

What to do: The engine installs automatically after you restart the client. Recheck profiles that use mobile emulation on engine 151 or later.
