Multilogin 12.15 was released on October 8, 2026. It introduced sign-up and login through social networks such as Google and Apple. For these accounts, two-factor authentication is managed by the login provider, not Multilogin. An account using social login cannot be linked to or merged with an account that uses an email address and password.
2FA has also changed. Backup codes are no longer used. If Multilogin two-factor authentication was enabled before the update, it was reset, and you need to enable it again under “Account settings” → “Security”. The owner can require 2FA for the entire workspace only if none of its members log in through social networks. Users who have not logged in for a long time may be prompted to reset their password.
There were also service disruptions on the release day. According to the status page, scheduled maintenance for release 12.15 took place on October 8 from 10:00 to 12:00 UTC, while the authentication service was unavailable from 12:22 to 13:52 UTC. The page recorded a total of 1 hour and 38 minutes of downtime that day. The company did not disclose the cause of the outage.
Also in 12.15: if a proxy check fails, Multilogin updates the IP address and tries to launch the profile again. Cloud phones can now be stopped correctly from the app, API, and phone window.
What to do: Check whether 2FA is enabled in your settings and enable it again.
