On October 20, 2026, Multilogin released Mimic 155, a new version of its Chrome-based browser engine. It’s the second engine update this month: Mimic 154 came out on October 6. The release notes don’t say what changed under the hood. The engine updates automatically when you launch a profile.
On October 21, version 12.16 of the app appeared in the release notes. Its main addition is the “Hide profile name” option in Mimic profile settings. When enabled, the profile name won’t appear in the address bar or in screenshots.
Other changes in 12.16:
- Cloud phones now stop automatically and don’t use mobile minutes if the app closes or loses connection for an extended period;
- if a Multilogin rotating proxy can’t find an IP at startup, you can refresh it directly from the error message without opening the profile settings;
- when your plan expires, the app explains why profiles won’t launch and adds a renewal link to the sidebar;
- the auto-stop timer can now be enabled and adjusted in “Account settings” without an error;
- profile and team member counts turn red only when the plan limit has actually been reached.
According to the status page, scheduled maintenance titled “Release Notice — CORE 12.16.0” ran on October 20 from 10:00 to 12:00 UTC. The company warned that login, Multilogin proxies, browser and mobile profiles, and payments might be temporarily unavailable.
What to do: nothing—the engine will update automatically. If you share your screen or send screenshots, you can enable “Hide profile name” for the profiles you need.
