BitBrowser 7.1.4 was released on July 7, 2026. The company recommends that everyone update and mentions “enhanced architecture security,” but does not identify any specific vulnerabilities in the changelog.
The system settings now include an option to configure the information shown in the profile toolbar, allowing users to display more data. The changelog does not specify which data. The client is better at detecting and applying the system proxy and now validates some proxies that previously failed the check. Rare tab synchronization failures on certain devices and slow extension synchronization have also been fixed.
A separate item covers fingerprints. The vendor fixed several browser fingerprint issues and described one of them in detail: when a profile was created through the API with invalid parameters, its fingerprint was generated incorrectly.
Who is affected: Primarily users who create profiles with scripts through the Local API. After updating, it is worth checking the fingerprints of profiles created this way in older versions. The update is also useful for anyone who synchronizes tabs and extensions between windows.
