FlashID: Transferring Profiles to Another User

Starting July 1, you can transfer a profile to another FlashID user along with its browser data and settings. The API now includes a method for quickly changing profiles.

On July 1, 2026, build v0.0.55 (Build 20260701) introduced Transfer Profiles. A profile is transferred to another FlashID user, while its browser data and profile settings remain intact.

Previously, profiles could be shared within a workspace, which has supported five roles, from Owner to Viewer, since November 2025. Transfer works differently: it changes the profile owner.

The Quick Update Profile method was added for automation. A single request can update a profile’s name, note, folder, and proxy, while fields not included in the request remain unchanged. This method does not modify fingerprint settings; use the standard profile update method for those.

A small convenience for anyone who frequently closes the client: closing it now offers a “Remember My Choice” option, so you no longer have to make the same selection every time.
