Three ixBrowser releases from June to September 2026: two new browser engines, the Passkey manager, and new fingerprint settings.
June 25, version 2.9.18: the browser engine was updated to 148, and mobile 4G proxies were added. Hardware acceleration became available in fingerprint settings, and you can now clear the cloud cache from the profile menu, including for multiple profiles at once.
August 14, version 2.9.26: a Passkey manager was added to profile settings (Preference Settings). The company explained its purpose in a blog post on September 9: according to ixBrowser, Google Ads has required a passkey for some account operations since July 15, and Amazon plans to require one for some Seller Central stores. Because a passkey is tied to a device, ixBrowser lets you choose which AAGUID (authenticator model identifier) the site sees. This works only on browser engine 148 or later. There are four modes:
- Follow System — uses the authenticator for the profile’s operating system, such as Windows Hello;
- Random — generates a new random identifier each time;
- Zero AAGUID — uses all zeros to hide the device model;
- ixB-Passkey — uses a persistent identifier for ixBrowser itself.
September 17, version 2.10.15: browser engine 151. The Random Fingerprint toggle in profile settings gives you a random fingerprint each time you launch the profile. The fingerprint page now includes a Launch Args field and an OS version selector in the User Agent section.
For later changes to the Passkey manager, see the news about version 2.10.18.
