On July 13, Vision announced in its Telegram channel that it would stop supporting macOS 12 (Monterey). The reason lies with Chrome itself: according to the company, Google scheduled the release of Chrome 151 for July 28, and that version no longer supports Monterey. The Vision update with the 151 engine, scheduled for late July or early August, will drop support for it as well.
Version 3.7.5, built on Chrome 151.0.7922.72, was released on July 30. Its description says that macOS 13 (Ventura) is now the minimum supported version. Profiles using the Safari engine, introduced in 3.7.1, already have higher requirements: they can only be created on macOS 15 or later.
This affects users running Vision on a Mac with Monterey. The company asked them to update their system to version 13 or later in advance. The announcement does not say what will happen to existing Vision installations on macOS 12. Staying on the old engine is risky: Vision itself writes in its blog that an outdated browser version looks suspicious to antifraud systems and leads to bans.
