Vision 3.7.11: Change camera video without reloading the page

The webcam spoofing source can now be switched on the fly without reloading the page. According to Vision’s tests, Android profiles perform better against anti-fraud systems.

On August 12, Vision released version 3.7.11, with the announcement posted in its Telegram channel the following day. The update covers two features: webcam video spoofing and Android profiles. The browser engine was not changed; it is still Chrome 151.0.7922.72.

The video source can now be switched instantly. Previously, replacing an uploaded photo or video required reloading the page. Now the file changes on the fly. The company explains why this matters: for complex video verifications that may, for example, require the user to perform several different head movements in sequence.

Vision continued refining its camera spoofing throughout the period. In 3.5.1 (April), users could set a static image instead of a video. In 3.7.1 (July), Vision added PTZ controls: preview, cropping, zoom, and resolution selection. Version 3.7.5 added support for the source video's original resolution. As of October 9, the documentation still describes the old workflow: .mp4, .mov, .mjpg, and .y4m formats are supported, while images and GIFs cannot be uploaded; to change the video, users double-click the camera icon.

Android profiles were also improved in this version. Vision says that, following extensive testing, they now pass antifraud systems noticeably more often, but provides no figures. Mobile fingerprints were introduced in version 3.6.2 in June.
