Vision in May: Launch Arguments for Folders and the Chrome 148 Engine

In 3.5.3, you can set launch arguments for an entire folder at once. In 3.5.5, Chrome 148 was released, along with two custom flags and new Client Rects noise.

Vision released two versions in May. Version 3.5.3 came out on May 6 and added folder-level launch arguments to the Extras section. Set them once, and every profile in that folder starts with those arguments. According to the documentation, you can select an argument from the library using the Quick Add field or enter it manually with two hyphens. You can also copy a saved set to other folders. The browser engine remained on Chrome 147 (147.0.7727.101); the rest of the changes were fixes that, according to the company, make the app faster and more stable.

Version 3.5.5 followed on May 12 with the Chrome 148.0.7778.97 engine. It adds two arguments that are not available in standard Chrome: --skip-session-restore disables restoring tabs from the profile’s previous session, while --disable-password-save-bubble removes the prompt to save a password. The Client Rects noise algorithm was rewritten. Vision says the new version performs better against complex antifraud systems in testing. Spoofing was also improved on macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Who will find it useful: Anyone who organizes profiles into folders for different tasks. Flags such as --window-size or --proxy-bypass-list only need to be set once for the entire folder. Install the update by restarting the app or clicking “Check for updates” in the settings.
