Vision 4.0.8 was released on October 23, 2026. Vision has been upgraded to Chrome 156.0.8078.48. According to the Chromium schedule, stable Chrome 156 was released on October 20, so Vision was three days behind. The previous version, 4.0.6, released on October 8, moved the browser to Chrome 155: the browser engine changed twice in October.
The second part of the update affects profiles running on the Safari engine. They now have two toggles: WebAuthn/Passkeys and Safari’s built-in anti-tracking protection, which adds noise to Canvas, WebGL, and Audio. According to the version description on the website, both settings can be configured separately for each profile. The company wrote in its channel: “we spent a lot of time on the privacy of Safari profiles.”
Passkeys themselves aren’t new in Vision: WebAuthn support was added in June, in version 3.5.16, but it was enabled in the app’s general settings. Safari profiles can now be configured individually.
What to do: To update, simply restart the app or click “Check for updates” in the settings. To adapt the User-Agent and related parameters of older profiles to the new browser engine, enable automatic profile updates in the settings.
