AdsPower has released a CLI: profiles can now be launched from the terminal and Docker

A standalone command-line utility manages profiles, proxies, and fingerprints without a desktop client and runs on headless servers.

On May 21, 2026, AdsPower released a standalone command-line interface (CLI). It lets you create and delete profiles, launch and close browsers, change proxies, update fingerprints, retrieve cookies, clear the cache, manage groups and tags, and download the required browser engine version.

The CLI is independent of the desktop client, with its own cache, browser engines, and runtime environment. It can be installed via npm (npm install -g adspower-browser) or with an installation script for Windows, macOS, and Linux. An API key is required to launch it: ads start -k <KEY>. A Docker build is also available, so AdsPower can run on a headless server.

The CLI was released alongside a toolkit for AI agents. The company lists three integration methods: the CLI, an MCP server that lets Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex control the browser, and a Skill for Cursor. AdsPower already had an MCP server for its Local API; the company published a blog post about it in November 2025. In the July 10 update, MCP, Skills, and CLI were added to the AI integration settings, and the connection code can now be copied with one click.

Who can benefit: Users who run hundreds of profiles with scripts, host them on a VPS, or connect them to AI agents. Manual workflows in the client remain unchanged.
