Kameleo 5.2.0 was released on August 31, 2026, followed by the 5.2.1 patch on September 3. The company announced both versions in a single Telegram post on September 4.
The most notable change affects the proxy tester. It now explains the cause of a failure in plain language, suggests what to check, and generates a report that you can copy and send to support. The profile ID is now displayed on the preview card, and the search bar can find profiles by their full or partial ID. Groups are sorted alphabetically instead of appearing in random order. According to the company, account sign-in is now faster, and the app handles temporary server outages more reliably.
Proxy passwords are now hidden in API responses. The interface has been migrated to Bootstrap 5, and 5.2.1 fixes layout issues caused by the migration. It also disables error report submission when no account is signed in: the app prompts the user to log in.
One change affects automation. Bundling pw-bridge with the app has been deprecated, and the file will be removed from the app in version 6.0. It is required for running Playwright with the Junglefox browser engine and remains available in the SDK packages.
What to do: Anyone who gets pw-bridge from the app folder should switch to the SDK or download the file separately, as recommended in the release notes.
