From April 13 to May 8, 2026, Linken Sphere released three updates. Two of them changed the browser engine, while the third changed how the program stores data on the computer.
April 13. Version 2.16.4 was released with the Chrome 147 engine. Stable Chrome 147 was released on April 7 according to the Chromium schedule, making the difference six days. In the same version, the developers said they improved antidetect performance and human-like input, and updated the built-in MaxMind geodatabase.
April 28. Version 2.16.5 was released with a new mechanism for storing local data. According to the developers, the program now takes up noticeably less disk space, especially with a large number of sessions and synchronization disabled, as well as during team work. The company does not specify how much the storage footprint has decreased.
May 8. Version 2.17.2 was released with the Chrome 148 engine (the stable release was on May 5) and, according to the company, improved success rates with popular CAPTCHAs. The company does not specify which CAPTCHAs it means. All three versions also included minor bug fixes.
