RoxyBrowser 3.8.0: MCP in AI Agents and Automatic Profile Recovery

In version 3.8.0, the AI agent gained support for MCP plugins, and profiles that were left open now reopen automatically. In 3.8.1–3.8.2, the installer became 37% smaller.

RoxyBrowser 3.8.0 was released on April 22, 2026. The built-in Roxy AI Agent can now connect to MCP plugins and Skills. The company says this expands the range of tasks it can automate, but doesn’t list any ready-to-use plugins. Two other features are useful even without the agent: the client now reopens profiles that were left running, and the profile list has a Check All Proxies button to test every proxy at once.

The other changes affect the proxy store and team access. Roxy Proxies added local IPs in 18 more countries and regions, including Germany, the UK, and Singapore, along with dedicated lines for Reddit, TikTok, and AI services. Purchased and manually added proxies now appear in one list. Team members can be granted access to the Billing Center and proxy store.

Versions 3.8.1 and 3.8.2 followed on April 29 and 30. The company says installation is 60% faster, updates are 35% more efficient, and the installer is 37% smaller. In 3.8.2, team members can be assigned nicknames. The browser engine was updated twice in April: to Chromium 146 on the 9th and to 147 on the 16th. In version 147, XML parsing was rewritten in Rust, and access to the local network over WebSocket and WebTransport was restricted more strictly.

What to do: Update the client to 3.8.2 or later. Install the new browser engine using the Kernel Upgrade button in the client’s top-right corner.
