RoxyBrowser introduced credit-based billing for its AI agent

Starting with version 3.8.9, Roxy AI Agent tasks are billed in credits based on actual usage. Every user gets 100 free credits.

On June 17, 2026, RoxyBrowser introduced a credit system for Roxy AI Agent with version 3.8.9. Agent tasks use credits based on actual consumption, and users can buy more as needed. Volume discounts and subscriber pricing can be combined for a maximum discount of 25%. Paid users get priority access to computing capacity during peak hours. The company says it made the change because capacity was unevenly allocated at peak times, slowing tasks down. To mark the launch, it is giving every user 100 free credits.

Neither the announcement nor the changelog says how much a credit costs or how many credits a typical task uses. As of October 9, 2026, the pricing page does not list credits either. The announcement does not mention any change to profile pricing.

The same version also revamped the platform accounts section. Users can view, copy and edit account details directly in the list, link accounts to profiles, and import accounts in bulk using a template. Access to passwords and bulk account exports can be controlled by role, and actions are logged. Workspace was renamed Team. The taskbar can show profile names: Settings → Taskbar icon display.

Who this affects: Roxy AI Agent users. You can use the 100 free credits to try tasks and see how many credits each one uses.
