Octo Browser 3.0 was released on July 7, 2026. The company says the interface architecture had not changed since the product launched, so this release rebuilds it from the ground up.
The top horizontal menu has been replaced with a sidebar. It now contains profiles, proxies, templates, and the trash, along with “Team” and “Activity Log,” which were previously hidden in the profile menu. A separate “Extensions” section has also been added. The bottom of the sidebar shows how many profiles are in use and how many days remain until the subscription ends.
The main new feature is folders. Before version 3.0, teams could group profiles and manage access only with tags. Folders appear as tabs above the profile table, and access to each folder can be configured separately for every team member. You can assign a folder in a template, when creating profiles in bulk, when importing them from a file, and through the API. The number of folders you can create depends on the plan. Folder-based access is enabled for new teams and for teams that have not used tags to manage access. Teams that have already configured tag-based access continue to work as before and can switch to folders in the team settings.
Another change affects users who manage multiple teams or keep their work and personal accounts separate. You can now add multiple Octo accounts to the client and switch between them without entering your username and password again.
Team member settings have also been redesigned: permissions are split across two tabs, “Profile Access” and “Action Access,” while basic access permissions are shown directly in the team table.
